The Island Boys may not own their own private island, but they could be $1 million closer if they accept a deal to appear in the new series, Ultimate Social Boxing. The TikTok stars are being offered a spot on the show, which will pit 32 social media stars against one another as they fight their way to the top—with the winner walking away with a $1 million cash prize.
TMZ spoke to LiveOne founder Rob Ellin, and he wants to see the boys, Franky and Alex Venegas, better known by their rap names Kodiyakredd and Flyysoulja, duke out their rivals in the competition—and he thinks that they’ve got the chops to blow up their careers.
"We want you. It looks great. It looks energetic. It looks like those guys have those promotional skills," he said. "Again, to have that energy of becoming a true brand. Steve Austin, right? The Rock. Hulk Hogan. You want dolls made of you? You want a career? You wanna build brands? You want to own tequila companies? Yeah, sure. But, you better get yourself into boxing shape," Ellin said.
The boys, who are from South Florida, have been monetizing their fame ever since their improvised song Island Boys went viral by linking with mass merchandisers and joining Cameo. The boys charge $170 for a personalized video on the platform, and they’re selling t-shirts and other swag with their names on it, too.
The duo has even minted a few NFTs that they’re selling for Ethereum.
They likely brought in some additional cash from their music video which has been viewed more than 15 million times, and with 148,000 subscribers they’re available to monetize their channel.
The Sun estimates that the boys have a net worth somewhere in the ballpark of $600,000, so the deal is sure to be enticing. Franky and Alex And have shared on their TikTok that they’ve taken up boxing lately, showing off their skills by doing bag and mitt work.
Brothers Jake and Logan Paul have opened new doors for entertainers by successfully pivoting from YouTube to full-fledged athletes, and the brothers have made a fortune in the process. Jake says he made $40 million from boxing last year alone.
